PROJECT DETAILS:
This project included the design of a new air traffic control for the Casper/Natrona County International Airport.
Two sites were selected for the potential location for the new control tower, and geotechnical information was gathered on both sites.
Once a site was selected, additional borings and a Phase I ESA were performed on the site.
Based on the results of the Phase I ESA, a Phase 2 ESA was performed to assess if the site had been impacted by nearby sites with reported releases of petroleum products.
SERVICES PERFORMED:
Geotechnical engineering included the design and analysis of the new control tower, including a ground floor office and elevated control tower.
Due to large over-turning loads, geotechnical design included deep foundation recommendations.
